Early tests and diagnosis make a huge difference and change in the lives of the children having autism spectrum disorder and their families. As there is no laboratory test for autism disorder, so it is not always easy to make an ASD diagnosis. So doctors also has to rely on the symptoms and observing the behaviors and listening to the concerns with their family or parents

Still now the cause for autism is unknown and researchers suggests that the autism is a genetic condition and several genes are associated in development of autism causing variety of differentiation in the structure of brain and chemicals in the brain, however there are not having any consisting findings.

In treatment of autism, there are several behavioural and educational programs are designed. These therapies are used to teach social skills, motor skills and cognitive skills, useful in eliminating or reducing maladaptive behaviors. Individual treatment method is important as every autistic children vary greatly in their own behavioural needs.

Special education program is highly structured and mainly focuses on self-care, speech language, developing social skills and job skills. Mental health professionals also help families to identify and participate in treatment based programs as per needs of individual child’s treatment.

Autism spectrum disorders mainly conceived as social disabilities because lack of social interaction becomes most prominent characteristics. Emotional dysregulation is a key component in difficulties for children as well as adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASDs) in education, relationships and employment. Emotions also include physiological expressions and responses as they play critical role in regulations of memory, attention, perception and physical response. Some individuals with ASDs learn to suppress rather than managing negative feelings. This help them appear more socially acceptable, but the required internal effort has the negative consequences of distracting from social interplay, increasing isolation, escalating physiological stress, and hindering the growth of relationships because the underlying negative emotions continue and grow.

People with autism spectrum disorder might have certain characteristics that could make them to break the law, controlling the aggression, emotion and understanding other people’s perspective. They may face trouble as this challenging behavior can attract the attention of the police. Despite the people’s interest that people with autism as criminals, they are more likely to be victims.
